This part of France specialises in prunes, rugby and wine.

To the west lies Agen - the prune capital of the world and to the east is Cahors - famous for its wine.

We have the pool and table tennis at the house and lots of local places to visit.

Local towns

Our local town Montaigu de Quercy is only 5 minutes drive and a trip to the market on Saturday morning is a must - as is a daily morning trip to get bread and croissants.

From the pool there are wonderful views of the tiny local village of Ferrussac. Roquecor and Tournon are near-by.

The Sunday morning market at Montcuq is wonderful. Other great market towns to visit include Villeneuve-sur-Lot, Monflanquin and Libos.

Local walks

From the pool you can see the tiny village of Ferrussac and it’s church.

It takes about an hour and a half to walk into Montaigu. You can also walk to Roquecor in 2 hours and have a well-earned beer at the end. It’s nice to get someone to bring you home though.

There are lots of other local walks and we have guide books and maps in the house.

Other attractions

The Parc on Ciel is about an hour’s drive away near Lacapelle-Biron. You can spend a morning or afternoon walking in the trees and zooming on zip wires. There are different levels and it’s a great day out for children of all ages.

Why not visit Chateau Biron on the way.

Eat and drink

There are lots of wonderful local produce. Bordeaux is not far away so prepare to drink and eat lots!
